About Cabell County Court Docket

Cabell County court information is divided among Circuit, Family, Magistrate, and municipal courts. Each court has its own clerk, search route, and access rules. This private reference site organizes those official paths so readers can identify the right portal, counter, mailing address, or phone number before requesting a docket or case record.

Why We Built This Site

Public access in West Virginia does not mean every Cabell County record sits in one database. WVPASS covers public Circuit Court material, while MCRSearch covers public Magistrate case information. Circuit Clerk Michael J. Woelfel keeps Circuit and Family Court files. Magistrate Clerk Julie G. Callicoat keeps the lower-court files. City ordinance cases remain with the municipal court. We assembled the official search links, local contact details, record fields, fees, and request routes needed to tell those systems apart.

What You Will Find Here

  • Case lookups: how to search Cabell County cases by party name or the court's case number
  • Court dates and settings: how to read the court calendar and confirm a hearing date or setting
  • Record requests: how court records and certified copies are requested from the clerk of court
  • Docket references: how Cabell County criminal and civil docket entries are organized and read

What We Cannot Do

Cabell County Court Docket is privately operated and has no connection to the West Virginia Judiciary, Cabell County, or any court or clerk. That means several tasks are outside our role:

  • We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
  • We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
  • We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now

An official or certified Cabell County record must come from the clerk or court that maintains it. Our role is limited to identifying that source.
